Mukharram M. Bikbov - Dr. of Med. Sci., Professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Republic of Bashkortostan, Director of Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases, Head of Chair of Ophthalmology, Bashkortostan State medical university, Ufa, Russia. Graduated from Bashkortostan State Medical University in 1980. Ph.D. (1991). Thesis: “Epikeratophakia in surgical aphakia correction in children. Dr.Med.Sci (1998). Thesis: “Correction of high degree anisometropia in children”. He is the author of more than 450 publications, 12 books, and 79 Russian patents. Main fields of research: corneal pathology, pathogenesis and therapy of glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, refraction anomalies.
