Graduated from Pediatric Faculty of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University in 1962. Ph.D. (1971). Thesis: “Early ophthalmological and biochemical signs of certain hereditary diseases of the connective tissue in children”. Dr.Med.Sci (1996). Thesis: “Diagnostics and pathogenetic therapy of uveitis in children”. Prof. Guseva is the author of more than 400 publications and 7 books. Main fields of research: age norms of the anatomy and functions of the visual analyzer, ocular and biochemical changes in children with connective tissue pathologies, inflammations of the retina and optic nerve in children.
